Baseball Recap: Englewood Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Englewood won the last time they faced Parker and things went their way on Monday too. The Rams blew past the Braves 10-2. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly eight runs.

Dominick Patruno was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Kenearth Llezeth was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Englewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Englewood's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9. As for Parker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Englewood will head out to take on Orange Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parker, they will venture away from home to face off against Stanton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
