The Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals made easy work of the Hancock County Indians on Friday and carried off an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Lane Cope, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Herman, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Eagleton College & Career Academy and bumps their season record up to 14-11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Hancock County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagleton College & Career Academy will challenge Apostolic Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hancock County, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Fulton at 5:00 p.m.
