Volleyball Game Preview: Poly Bears vs. Arlington Lions

The Poly Bears will head out to take on the Arlington Lions at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Poly is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Poly will bounce into Monday's game after beating Rancho Verde, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. The Bears blew past the Mustangs 3-0 on Tuesday. The Bears not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-22.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Arlington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Vista del Lago on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Poly pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Arlington, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 10-8.

Poly took their victory against Arlington when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
