Basketball Recap: Olympic Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Olympic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Myers Park Mustangs 87-51. The Trojans lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 68-58 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Olympic lost, don't look at Jaden Hardnett. Despite the final result, he shot 60% from the field to rack up 18 points. Hardnett's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Myers Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cash Hall, who went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points. Those 21 points gave Hall a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mack Walters, who shot 67% from the field en route to 17 points.

Olympic's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Myers Park, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Olympic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-66 win against Corvian Community on the 29th. As for Myers Park, they have also already played their next contest, a 95-66 victory against Mallard Creek on the 25th.
