Basketball Recap: Sandoval's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, Sandoval rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Maryville Christian Lions by a score of 37-30. Winning may never get old, but the Blackhawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Sandoval's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amiya Ray, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Ray has scored at least a third of Sandoval's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Starr, who posted four points and five assists.

Sandoval's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Maryville Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-17.

Looking ahead, Sandoval will face off against Okawville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maryville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
