Football Recap: Shadow Ridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Shadow Ridge was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by the Brophy College Prep Broncos 43-7. The Stallions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 22-0.

Shadow Ridge's loss came despite strong showings from Joel Cooper and Michael Cruz. Cooper rushed for 103 yards and one score on only 13 carries, while Cruz gained 134 total yards.

Case Vanden Bosch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brophy College Prep, throwing for 236 yards and three TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. Harrison Chambers helped Vanden Bosch out on the ground, rushing for 79 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Shadow Ridge and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Brophy College Prep, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Shadow Ridge and Brophy College Prep will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Stallions see the field they'll take on Williams Field at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Brophy College Prep, their break will end when they face Higley at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
