Volleyball Game Preview: Severance Silver Knights vs. Berthoud Spartans

The Severance Silver Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Berthoud Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Severance turned things around against Wellington on Thursday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 21-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Berthoud got the win against Greeley Central on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Berthoud took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-14, 25-12.

Severance's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Berthoud, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.

Severance couldn't quite get it done against Berthoud in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Silver Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
