Softball Recap: North Reading Comes Up Short

North Reading was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Newburyport Clippers. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Clippers earlier this season, when they won 23-0.

North Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Newburyport, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Reading will challenge Amesbury at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newburyport, they will face off against Danvers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
