Volleyball Recap: Riverview Sarasota Falls Short of Plant in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Riverview Sarasota and Plant squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Riverview Sarasota had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Panthers. The Rams were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in September of 2020.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plant to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Horvick, who had eight digs and three assists. Sophie Dostic was another key player, hitting 100% for six kills and 28 assists and nine digs.

Riverview Sarasota dropped their record down to 11-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Plant, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8.

Riverview Sarasota does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Plant, they will challenge Venice at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
