Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. North Providence

The Lincoln Lions will square off against the North Providence Cougars on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lincoln is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against St. Raphael Academy as they made off with an 8-4 win. Lincoln might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Providence took on Tiverton on Thursday. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Tigers. Winning may never get old, but North Providence sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lincoln's record now sits at 9-4-5. As for North Providence, their record is now 14-4.

Lincoln took their win against North Providence in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 4-1 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
