Basketball Recap: Sterlington Panthers vs. Madison Jaguars
Sterlington lost against Madison back in February of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sterlington Panthers took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Jaguars. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Sterlington still got an impressive performance from Cooper Nelson, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 20 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That was a full 39.2% of Sterlington's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaven Evans, who had 12 points.
