Baseball Recap: Coleman Comes Up Short

If Coleman was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Eula on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluecats fell just short of the Ballinger Bearcats by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bluecats in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

Kyle Chambers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Paul Salas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Coleman's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Ballinger, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Coleman nor Ballinger have any future games scheduled.
