The Faith Christian Eagles will head out to face off against the Tri-County Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Faith Christian's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Dugger Union on Saturday. They were dealt a 38-0 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Bulldogs are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Tri-County on the road against South Newton on Friday as the team secured a 34-6 victory. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 24 points or more this season.

Tri-County can attribute much of their success to Jonathan Pearson, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and Ayden Justice, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Justice also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending two passes.

Tri-County wouldn't let South Newton keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Tri-County can thank Kevin Martinez and Gabe Sanders for forcing all of them. Martinez also set a new season high mark in rushing yards with 150.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Tri-County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 314 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted was before the start of last season.

This is the second loss in a row for Faith Christian and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Tri-County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
