Softball Recap: Wayland's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Whitehall on Saturday, Wayland came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell 6-3 to the Escanaba Eskymos on Saturday. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wayland fell to 4-1. As for Escanaba, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Wayland has already played their next contest (against South Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Escanaba, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 win against Negaunee on the 22nd.
