Football Recap: Hammond Morton Governors vs. Chesterton Trojans
On Friday, the Hammond Morton Governors came up short against the Chesterton Trojans and fell 36-23.
Several Governors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Holland Harris, who threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Another rusher making a difference was Dashawn Woods, who gained 152 total yards and two touchdowns.
Hammond Morton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chesterton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Hammond Morton will head out to challenge Tippecanoe Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Tippecanoe Valley focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday. As for Chesterton, they will take on Michigan City at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
