Softball Game Preview: Willow Lions vs. East St. John Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Willow Lions duke it out with East St. John Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Willow is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 20-5 to Ursuline Academy. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 25 runs the game before, East St. John was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against Central Lafourche, falling 22-1.

Willow's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for East St. John, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Everything went Willow's way against East St. John in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Willow made off with a 33-18 win. Does Willow have another victory up their sleeve, or will East St. John turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
