While Tallassee put up plenty of  points on Friday, the same  can't be said for Talladega. Tallassee simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Talladega 35-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Tallassee considering their 13-point performance the  matchup before.
A big part of Tallassee's  win came down to the chemistry between  Trent Morris and his top target  Jaiden Gordon. Morris threw for 194 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes while  Gordon picked up 109 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs. Those  109  receiving yards gave  Gordon a new career-high.
 Tallassee's run defense was locked in: Talladega could only muster -0.4 yards per carry. While four picked up at least two  total tackles,  Gordon stood above the rest. He picked up 109 receiving yards and two  scores. Tallassee's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.6.
 Tallassee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Cortland Roberts and  Gordon.  Kaleb Jackson was another major factor on D,  forcing one fumble, making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss),  and defending one pass.
Tallassee now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Talladega,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.
 Looking ahead, Tallassee will head out to  take on Holtville  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Talladega, they will host Central of Coosa County  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.9  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
