Softball Recap: Watertown Falls Short of Liberty Creek in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Watertown can now relate to. They came up short against the Liberty Creek Wolves on Wednesday, falling 12-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Purple Tigers have suffered since March 10th.

Watertown dropped their record down to 15-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Liberty Creek, the victory (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 27-2.

Watertown has already played their next matchup, a 20-3 win against East Nashville Magnet on the 16th. As for Liberty Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Whites Creek on the 17th.
