Basketball Recap: Inola Comes Up Short

Inola was the 69-63 winner over Fort Gibson when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Inola Longhorns lost 70-44 to the Fort Gibson Tigers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Tigers are ranked 85th).

This is the second loss in a row for Inola and nudges their season record down to 6-7. As for Fort Gibson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Inola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-56 win against Nathan Hale on the 25th. Fort Gibson has also already played their next game, an 86-51 victory against Sequoyah on the 25th.
