Basketball Recap: Pleasant Grove Eagles vs. Sheldon Huskies
Pleasant Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 72-54 fall against the Sheldon Huskies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-44 back in January.
Despite the loss, Pleasant Grove saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ethan Nguyen went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Julien Ocampo, who posted seven points and six rebounds.
Pleasant Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Sheldon, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
