Baseball Game Preview: Harlan Hawks vs. Sotomayor WILDCATS

For the second straight game, Harlan will face off against Sotomayor. The Hawks will challenge the WILDCATS at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Harlan's offense. They fell just short of Sotomayor by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

For Sotomayor's part, Wes Guardiola made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Guardiola was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Guardiola wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kolaiah Staten, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Sotomayor has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Harlan, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.
