Eureka's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Howell North Knights get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in March.

Eureka has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Howell North, they dropped their record down to 13-16 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Eureka has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Webster Groves on the 16th. As for Howell North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-8 defeat against Lindbergh on the 16th.
