Ladysmith came tearing into Tuesday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 87-77 win over the Hayward Hurricanes. Given the Lumberjacks' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 357th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ladysmith pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points over those games. As for Hayward, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Ladysmith will head out to face off against Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
