Baseball Recap: Tokay Falls Short of Woodcreek in the Playoffs

Tokay and Woodcreek squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Tokay had to settle for second. They lost 7-1 to the Timberwolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 19th.

Tokay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Buckley, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Tokay's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Woodcreek, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Tokay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodcreek, they will take on Del Oro at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Timberwolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
