Shawnee wins going away against Bath

Recap: Shawnee Indians vs. Bath Wildcats

The Shawnee Indians won the last time they faced the Bath Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Shawnee was the clear victor by a 70-46 margin over Bath. That 70-46 margin sets a new team best for Shawnee this season.

Shawnee found their leader in underclassman Beckett Bertke, who scored 30 points along with nine rebounds. The matchup was Bertke's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Dominic Lynch was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists.

Shawnee now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bath, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.

Shawnee won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Upper Scioto Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Upper Scioto Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 630th, while Shawnee is ranked 135th). Bath will be home for the holidays to greet Lima Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lima Central Catholic is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
