Basketball Recap: Brackenridge Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Brackenridge won the last time they faced Highlands, and Sarah Arriaga did her part to make sure it happened again. The Brackenridge Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Highlands Owls on Friday, sneaking past 45-42 thanks in part to Arriaga, who posted 17 points in addition to five blocks and three steals. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Sky Lopez, who had six points in addition to 15 boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last four games she's played.

Brackenridge has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Highlands, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.

Brackenridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 88-63 defeat against Burbank on the 17th. As for Highlands, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-35 loss against Sam Houston on the 17th.
