Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olympia). They put the hurt on the Riverton Hawks with a sharp 53-33 victory on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their 12-game losing streak.

Riverton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordyn Durham, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds, and Britnee Walker, who earned nine points. The dominant performance gave Durham a new career-high in boards.

Olympia's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-19. As for Riverton, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-20.

Olympia will challenge PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverton, they will square off against Williamsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
