Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brynn Smith and Peighton Hinton Lead Adams Central to Victory

Adams Central's tournament run continued when they took on Bridgeport on Friday. The Patriots came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

Adams Central not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bridgeport between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

Leading Adams Central to victory were Peighton Hinton and Brynn Smith. Hinton had four digs and one block, while Smith had seven assists and three digs. Hinton is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Claire Brown also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Adams Central's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Bridgeport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Adams Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Holdrege on the 3rd. As for Bridgeport, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Scottsbluff on the 3rd.
