Softball Game Preview: St. Georges Tech Hawks vs. Woodbridge Raiders

The St. Georges Tech Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Woodbridge Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

St. Georges Tech fell victim to Appoquinimink and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Jaguars. The Hawks have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Woodbridge got the win against Early College on Thursday by a conclusive 18-1.

Morgan Pinder was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Pinder was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Abriyah Reed was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Kimora Harris, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

St. Georges Tech couldn't quite finish off Woodbridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can St. Georges Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
