Volleyball Recap: Triangle Math & Science Starts Season with Victory Against Jordan-Matthews

Triangle Math & Science gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Jordan-Matthews Jets as the Triangle Math & Science Tigers made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight dating back to last season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Triangle Math & Science was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-8, 25-8.

Leading Triangle Math & Science to victory were Chris Lange and Ali Kales. Lange had four digs and three aces, while Kales had six digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Triangle Math & Science was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 26 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Jordan-Matthews' loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Triangle Math & Science wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Chapel Hill on the 12th. As for Jordan-Matthews, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Freedom Christian Academy on the 10th.
