Volleyball Recap: John Paul the Great Academy Falls to Midstate Homeschool in First Game of Season

John Paul the Great Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midstate Homeschool Storm on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Midstate Homeschool scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-17, 25-19.

John Paul the Great Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sophie Cazayoux, who had seven aces.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. John Paul the Great Academy will take on rival Christian Home Educators Fellowship at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Midstate Homeschool is set to challenge their familiar foe NELA Christian Homeschool at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
