Volleyball Game Preview: Waukegan Bulldogs vs. Northside Mustangs

The Waukegan Bulldogs will take on the Northside Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Waukegan came up short against Libertyville and fell 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Waukegan was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Oak Forest.

Waukegan's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Waukegan came out on top in a nail-biter against Northside when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
