Soccer Game Preview: Crockett vs. Madisonville

The Crockett Bulldogs will take on the Madisonville Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Crockett is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Palestine on Tuesday. Crockett came up short against Palestine, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 541st, while the Wildcats are ranked 97th).

Meanwhile, Madisonville came up short against Palestine last Monday and fell 3-1.

Madisonville's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-5. As for Crockett, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Crockett came up short against Madisonville when the teams last played on February 4th, falling 2-0. Can Crockett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
