Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 68-45 to the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Jefferson will head out to square off against Kennedy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Kennedy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-50 victory against North Polk on the 19th.
