Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laurens). Everything went their way against the J.L. Mann Patriots on Wednesday as they made off with a 26-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Summer Nations and Zealy Martin were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Nations pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Meanwhile, Martin pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. At the plate, Nations went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Martin got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five runs and two stolen bases.

In other batting news, Carly Edwards and Addison Trevino did most of the damage at the plate: Edwards went 4-for-5 with seven RBI, four runs, and one triple, while Trevino got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Trevino has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Addy Carlisle, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

The win (which was Laurens' third in a row) raised their record to 9-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.7 runs over those games. As for J.L.
