Considering the Cougars have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Calvary Christian's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Holy Cross, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Everything went Holy Cross' way against Calvary Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Holy Cross made off with a 7-0 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
