Preview: Glens Falls Indians vs. South Glens Falls Bulldogs
After three games on the road, Glens Falls is heading back home. They will take on the South Glens Falls Bulldogs at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Glens Falls came up short against Queensbury and fell 62-52. While losing is never fun, Glens Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Queensbury is ranked 49th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Darielle Gooden, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Piper Eddy, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, South Glens Falls' good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a serious blow against Broadalbin-Perth, falling 58-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Glens Falls has scored all season.
Glens Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for South Glens Falls, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Glens Falls beat South Glens Falls 59-50 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Does Glens Falls have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Glens Falls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
