Crest got themselves on the board against Kings Mountain on Friday, but Kings Mountain never followed suit. They blew past the Mountaineers 70-0. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 35 points or more this season.
Ely Hamrick produced another solid effort rushing for 42 yards and four touchdowns, while also throwing for 249 yards and three TDs on perfect 10-for-10 passing. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in August. Maurice Redmond was another key player, rushing for 88 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries.
Crest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as D'Various Surratt, Javion Hopper, and Lyrik Pettis picked up one apiece.
Crest has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.8 points on average over those games. As for Kings Mountain, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4.
