Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for East Ridge

East Ridge came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Coral Reef Barracudas as they made off with an 11-2 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Simmone Hymiller looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Veronica Peterson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Lilly Land was another key player, going a perfect 5-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

East Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

East Ridge's record now sits at 15-2. As for Coral Reef, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.
