Football Game Preview: White River Hornets vs. Kentlake Falcons + How To Watch

The White River Hornets will face off against the Kentlake Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (White River has four straight wins, Kentlake has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

White River is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 55-0 victory over Beamer. Fans of the Hornets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Chaz Strickland produced another solid performance throwing for 301 yards and six TDs while completing 86.4% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (165.7).

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to White River's defense and their three sacks. Blake Bargelt refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Beamer's side was Palmer Beus, who picked up a sack and made five total tackles (3.5 for loss).

Meanwhile, Kentlake had to suffer through a 45-6 loss at the hands of Heritage.

Kentlake's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for White River, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: White River has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 281.8 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Kentlake, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 76.2 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?

Everything came up roses for White River against Kentlake in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 54-7 victory. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
