Volleyball Recap: Kerr-Vance Academy's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Kerr-Vance Academy came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles, falling 3-0. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Kerr-Vance Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cape Fear Christian Academy work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 26-24.

Marie Scott White paced Kerr-Vance Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. White got some help from Emma Caudle and her 17 assists.

Kerr-Vance Academy's defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Kerr-Vance Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against The Oakwood School on the 23rd. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Lee Christian on the 23rd.
