Baseball Recap: Albany Academy for Boys Takes a Loss

Albany Academy for Boys suffered their biggest loss since May 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 15-5 to the Ichabod Crane Riders. The Cadets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Riders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Willie Kimbler was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Ben Dalto was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Albany Academy for Boys' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ichabod Crane, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albany Academy for Boys will welcome Cohoes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ichabod Crane, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Chatham at 4:30 p.m. The Riders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
