Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Rosecrans Bishops vs. Zanesville Blue Devils

The Bishop Rosecrans Bishops will head out to take on the Zanesville Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Rosecrans is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Bishop Rosecrans didn't have quite enough to beat Millersport and fell 47-44.

Meanwhile, Zanesville had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Licking Valley by a score of 43-34 on Thursday.

Zanesville found their leader in sophomore Ayawna Gladden, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 boards. With that strong performance, Gladden is now averaging an impressive 8.6 rebounds per game. Lakeyah Butcher was another key player, putting up nine points.

Zanesville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Zanesville's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Bishop Rosecrans, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Bishop Rosecrans took a serious blow against Zanesville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 56-23. Can Bishop Rosecrans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
