Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belton). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ruskin Golden Eagles a 21-0 shutout on Monday. The Pirates' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three matchups.

Belton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Ruskin, they are on a 34-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.
