            Avalon waltzed into their contest  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with  an   8-4  victory over the Chen Chargers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  11-1  back in March.

 Ethan Stepanik made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  earning two  runs and six  stolen bases. He is becoming a predictor of Avalon's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-12 when he doesn't).
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Caden Brayman, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in March.  Judah Knight was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
Avalon's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Chen,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-10.
As of now, neither Avalon nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
