Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Peach County walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Cherokee Bluff Bears with a sharp 53-28 win on Friday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Ashton Barton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 253 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Cameron Cherry was in the mix too, providing Peach County with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Peach County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 155 rushing yards in nine consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Cherokee Bluff still got an impressive performance from Malcolm Millsap, who picked up 176 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Peach County's record is now 10-1. As for Cherokee Bluff, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Peach County will head out to square off against Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. Cherokee Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
