Recap: Walthill Blujays vs. Omaha Nation Chiefs
Even though the Omaha Nation Chiefs scored an imposing 69 points on Tuesday, the Walthill Blujays still came out on top. Walthill walked away with an 81-69 victory over Omaha Nation. Given Walthill's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Omaha Nation is ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walthill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Parker, who scored 21 points. Parker is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Keesan Kaaihue was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Walthill's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Omaha Nation, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Walthill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-42 defeat vs. Ponca on the 10th. Omaha Nation has also already played their next contest, a 38-33 defeat against Tri County Northeast on the 10th.
