Baseball Recap: Spanish Fort Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Spanish Fort and Gulf Shores, and Gulf Shores kept the tradition alive. The Toros lost 12-4 to the Dolphins on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Dolphins this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-0 loss on Saturday.

Spanish Fort's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Gulf Shores, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spanish Fort will square off against Mary G. Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gulf Shores, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Baker at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Dolphins surely won't give up without a fight.
