 Spanish Fork waltzed into their contest  on Monday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ridgeline Riverhawks  and snuck past  5-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Spanish Fork also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2023.
  Lucy Evans spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jade Romero, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 On Ridgeline's side,  Brielle Gardiner put in work no matter where she played. She  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   five  hits. Gardiner was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with a  home run.
 In other batting news,  Olivia Nielsen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with a  home run.  Ava Howell was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run.
 Spanish Fork's victory was  their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 18-2. As for Ridgeline, their loss  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 17-1.
 Spanish Fork will take on Timpview at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Spanish Fork's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8  runs per game  this season, so Timpview's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ridgeline, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Logan at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
