Bishop Gorman is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Salpointe Catholic. The Gaels came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 2-0. The win was familiar territory for the Gaels, who have now won five contests in a row.

Ayanna Watson paced Bishop Gorman's offense, picking up nine kills. Watson got some help from Trinity Thompson and her 21 assists. Watson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Salpointe Catholic lost, don't look at Nicole Monge. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and two assists. Annabella Bruzzone also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
